Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCCs) are mental health professionals who provide a variety of services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders.
They are trained to offer therapeutic support and interventions under the scope of their practice, and typically hold a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field, along with the necessary licensure.
Comprehensive Community Support Staff are credentialed staff who assist individuals with mental health and substance use disorders in achieving their recovery and wellness goals. These services help clients maintain stability, integrate into the community, and improve their quality of life. These services are tailored to address the specific needs of each individual, focusing on enhancing their ability to live independently and manage their mental health effectively.

Dr. Wynn has been engaged in the behavioral health community across the United States for over 20 years. She has supported her communities as a behavioral health CEO/ ED, Clinical graduate core faculty, department chair, therapist, state department director, author, and parent. Dr. Wynn has published work grounded in intersectional theory - focused on gender and sexuality equity, leadership, and erasure of community of members based on identity. Her other research includes quantitative analyses of treatment practices as they relate to outcomes for those identifying with minority statuses. Dr. Wynn has supported numerous students and professionals in their clinical, theoretical, and supervisory development.
Dr. Wynn has supported several behavioral health organizations in restructuring and revisioning operations from a trauma responsive lens. She has worked across the children and adult systems. Dr. Wynn has a strong understanding of Medicaid and state funding systems and how to utilize them efficiently for community based practice. From billing to intervention Dr. Wynn is a specialist!
EXCELLENCE IN ACTION
Mr. Matthew Pettit is the founder of Healing Roar, and is now the NECC Comprehensive Community Support Services Program Director. He is a community health worker, community support worker ad certified peer support worker. Mr. Pettit has leveraged his lived experience and his passion for serving his community to build harm reduction services that offer an alternative pathway to recovery for many New Mexican's. Mr. Pettit currently works with the NMSU quality improvement team and providers integrated quality service review services to programs all over the state!
Mr. Pettit additionally serves his community through NECC and Healing Roar, but also through the UNM ECHO program, D.O.P.E. Services, Endorphine, and De-Serving Life. Mr. Pettit is currenyl completing his college experience with CNM and is embarking on his Licensed Substance Use Associate application.
